Technical Architect - Retail Business Unit


Main Duties

Comtec is a dynamic, rapidly growing company based in South Wales delivering cutting edge technology solutions to the leisure travel industry.

As a technical architect at Comtec, you will work in the Architect's Group implementing our functional and technology roadmap for the leisure travel industry in the UK and internationally. The role will require the successful candidate to be able to design and lead the development of robust, secure and scalable rich internet applications (RIAs) for the B2B and B2C travel distribution channels.

Self-starting and with strong client-facing skills including presentation and facilitation, you will be experienced in building web solutions on the .NET platform. Specific skills sought include ASP.NET, C#, IIS, Windows Server and SQL Server.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Proven experience developing object-oriented design using design patterns.
  • In-depth experience in building web solutions on the .NET platform
  • Ability to set and achieve delivery deadlines.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to develop operational processes
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Desire to work in fast-paced environment to ensure that applications meet or exceed specifications in a scalable and secure environment
  • The ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
  • Self starter accustomed to working on own initiative

Salary range: Commensurate with experience

Benefits: Pension, private medical, Life assurance (4 x salary)

Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per wk
