Developer - VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL SERVER, VB6 and ASP

Main Duties

Working on product based development for clients as part of the Travel Gateway team. As a developer at Comtec, you will work in the Travel Gateway team implementing our functional and technology roadmap for the leisure travel industry in the UK and internationally. Our development methodology is a blend of both agile and traditional software design, implementation and project management techniques.

Principle accountabilities:

• Experience developing object-orientated design, design patterns.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with VB.Net, ASP.Net3.5 and .NET
• Ability to work within delivery deadlines.
• Organisational skills and the ability to develop operational processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies
• Desire to work in fast-paced environment to ensure that applications meet or exceed specifications in a scalable and secure environment
• Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
• Self starter accustomed to working on own initiative

Salary range: £25-£30k basic

Benefits: 23 days holiday (plus statutory), pension scheme, 4 x death in service & private medical insurance.

Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per wk
