Developers – Retail & eCommerce (ASP.Net/C# VB.Net)


Main Duties

The successful candidate will be experienced in delivering Web applications using ASP.NET / C# & VB.Net and related technologies while employing strong object-oriented design and programming skills.

The selected candidate will be part of a strong development team and will be responsible for both enhancing existing Web applications and developing new Web applications.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Proven experience developing web applications on Microsoft Windows platform
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
  • In-depth experience with C# & VB.Net and ASP.NET
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for implementing database-driven, web-based applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Desire to work in fast-paced environment to ensure that applications meet or exceed specifications in a scalable and secure environment and against tight commercial deadlines
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
  • Self starter accustomed to working on own initiative

  • CMS Umbraco experience an advantage

Salary range: £25-£35k basic

Benefits: 23 days holiday (plus statutory), pension scheme, 4 x death in service & private medical insurance.

Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per wk

Location: Cwmbran
