Developer - Retail & eCommerce (Front end/UI Developer XHTML,XSLT,CCS)
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be experienced in producing browser based solutions using XHTML, XSLT, Client Side Scripting, CSS and related technologies while adhering to W3C web standards.
The selected candidate will be part of a strong design / development team and will be responsible for enhancing existing and creating new standard compliant, cross browser user interfaces.
Principle accountabilities:
- Expert skills developing to W3C standards with HTML, XHTML, Java Script and CSS
- Ability to hand code, analyse, debug, and deliver clean, validated, cross browser compatible, maintainable code
- The ability to work within the development cycle alongside designers and application developers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies
- Desire to work in fast-paced environment to ensure that applications meet or exceed specifications in a scalable and secure environment and against tight commercial deadlines
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
- Self starter accustomed to working on own initiative
Essential Applications and Skills:

Desirable:
- ASP.NET / C# & VB.Net
- CMS Umbraco experience an advantage
Salary range: £25-£35k basic
Benefits: 23 days holiday (plus statutory), pension scheme, 4 x death in service & private medical insurance.
Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per wk
Location: Cwmbran
