Senior Project Manager
Main Duties
The successful candidate will work with a team of Business Analysts and C# .NET Developers on a variety of projects, seeing them through from concept to go-live implementation. The position will cover the full spectrum of project management including overall project planning, costing, the maintenance of risk & issue logs and the co-ordination of delivery teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the Business Analyst and Client Consultants, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, communication and efficient execution of the project in accordance with agreed budgets, timescales, methodologies / process and quality targets.
- Understand the requirements for a business application and ensure that the appropriate technical infrastructure is recommended.
- Have a sound understanding of the current development tools within the company development strategy, and provide input into the estimating process for both development and project management.
- Create and maintain the following:
Project Plan; Change Request Register; Budgets; Risk Register; Team Structure Contact; List; Status Reports; Manage project members; Adhere to process & methodology - Implement best practices
- Minimise solution complexity
- Identify and resolve issues / risks
- Liaise with customers and manage expectations
- Liaise with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
- Ensure high quality documentation reporting status and issues to the General Manager
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience with software implementation projects worth £over £1 mil.
- Highly organised, excellent management and planning skills
- Experience of estimates, proposals and pitches
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good attention to detail, passionate about quality
- Ability to lead both creative and technical teams
- Excellent written and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly motivated, self starter
- Proficient with MS Project
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Technical skills:
- Project Management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2 or APMG
- User Centred Design
- AGILE
- SEO
- Digital Marketing
- Web Analytics tools
- Experience of Microsoft SharePoint
- Leisure travel industry experience preferred
Salary range: £50k - £70k Depending on experience
Benefits: Pension, private medical, Life assurance (4 x salary)
Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per wk
Location: Cwmbran – relocation package available
