Senior Project Manager - Farmingdale, NY area
Main Job Purpose
To project lead the delivery of Comtec product-based software solutions to leisure travel customers within agreed timescales and to the quality expected. Initial company, product and project orientation and training will be provided at our head offices in the UK; however this role is US-based.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the customer to understand and document business requirements for the project, developing effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for the project.
- Define the deliverables, resource requirements and phased work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery.
- Estimate and plan projects from start to finish.
- Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project.
Skills and Attributes Required:
- A proven track record of successful software project implementation, with a strong focus on the customization of a product-based software solution.
- Team management experience, comfortable matrix managing project teams of up to 12 people.
- Excellent client facing and communication skills.
- Experience of the whole software project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, through to go-live, and at each stage in between
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project; experience with Basecamp and Google Docs.
- Leisure travel industry experience preferred, but not essential.
Salary range: $80 - $100k Depending on experience
