Test Analyst – a number of roles in all Business Units


Main Duties

The successful candidate will be required to undertake detailed analysis of system requirements and specifications and prepares Test Plans and related Test Assets through from initiation to completion of Test Projects

Main duties:

  • Liaison with development throughout the pre-testing phase, including review of requirements and development specifications, in support of test planning and preparation.
  • Test design and preparation of detailed test plans and scripts for functional, system, and performance testing.
  • Preparation and/or peer review of detailed manual test plans and scripts.
  • Executing of manual test scripts, recording results and raising incidents for test failures.
  • Preparation of test metrics and status reporting throughout the test window to the test manager and other interested parties (e.g. Project manager).
  • Running multiple test projects in parallel.
  • Liaison with technical services and development teams on set-up of test environments.
  • Identifying issues and risks related to test projects and escalating these to the test manager as required.
  • Completion of assigned test projects to delivery targets as defined by the test manager.
  • Completion of test projects to target software quality targets as defined by the test manager.
  • Hand over tested developments to the support team.
  • Liaising with customers during UAT, ensuring that issues are replicated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Complying with test processes and procedures, and supporting test manager in the continuous development of these.
  • Preparation of test report, including support hand-over notes at completion of test project.

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum 5 years experience providing customer facing support.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills, negotiation and decision making skills.
  • A development background and or extensive experience with XML and SQL.
  • Knowledge of sales and back office systems (e.g. AMS and Easy Sell) and travel based data/reporting and web applications.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly, Excel.
  • Technical understanding of Windows operating systems and general networking.
  • SQL/Server knowledge.

Desirable:

  • Technical knowledge of complex system architectures.
  • Understanding of travel industry business processes and systems.
  • Detailed understanding of software development processes in general and Test Processes specifically.

Salary range: Commensurate with market rate

Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per wk
