Simon Powell - Chief Executive Officer

Simon is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the business. As co-founder of Comtec, Simon has taken a central role on the development of the company from its outset.

Prior to Comtec, Simon took a leading role in his family’s business, Holiday Express, which grew to £30m turnover before being acquired by First Choice PLC..

Richard Turner - Executive Vice President

Richard held the position of Account Director before moving into a Group Director role with varied responsibilities including developing Comtec's US commercial activities.

With a background in IT sales, in 1997 Richard established Leisure Network Solutions in partnership with Comtec and assumed the position of Group Sales Director when LNS was fully acquired Comtec in 2001.

Howard Frost - Executive Vice President

At Comtec, Howard leads the teams responsible for developing new business sales, marekting and developing Comtec's relationships with our existing customer base.

Howard has previously held sales and marketing position for companies such as Thorn EMI, CPC and Reed Elsevier. He also has extensive experience of the leisure travel technology sector having held senior commercial roles with BT/Prestel, Anite and Open Destinations.

Humphrey Sheil - Chief Technology Officer

Humphrey leads the product management team responsible for Comtec's integrated functional and technical strategy and implementation.

With a background specialising in enterprise architecture and integration software in the US and Europe, he holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Computer Science from University College Dublin.

Matt Wakerley - Chief Financial Officer

Matt is a Chartered Accountant. He is responsible for Finance, Business Plans & Forecasts and Contract/Risk Management.

He joined Comtec from Apertio Ltd. where he held the position of Finance Director. Previously, from 2002 to 2005, he was Finance Director of Zarlink Semiconductor Inc. leading the team that oversaw the sale of the business to Intel Corporation.

Gordon Matthew - Interim Chief Operating Officer

Gordon Matthew has spent the last 10 years running Private Equity backed technology businesses. Gordon’s background is in Software & Services but he has also recently worked in IT Telecommunications. Recent roles include CEO at Ramesys, a midmarket IT services provider to the UK Education sector, CEO of RedSky IT, a vertical market software application business and CEO at Azzurri Telecommunications where Gordon successfully executed a significant business turnaround over 2 years from 2008. Gordon has a technical background and has a BSc Hons in Computer Science.
