Comtec Group to Launch Travelconnect Cruise

Comtec has completed its fifth acquisition in recent months by acquiring the Traveltradex Cruise module.

This new cruise module will enable trade and consumer users of Travelconnect to search and cost cruise itineraries from several leading cruise lines including – Celebrity, Princess, P&O, RCI, Cosmos, Cunard and Ocean Village. The new module will be branded ‘Travelconnect Cruise.’

Travelconnect Cruise, which is as simple to use as surfing the web, offers a similar experience of studying brochures but also enables users (agents and consumers) to access availability and pricing in an easy to use and informative format.

The module is based on a three screen process: A home page, a details page and a search results page

• On the home page users will be given a number of options to help them find the right trip for them, including “find a cruise” “find a destination” “find a cruise line” and “keyword”.  Also included on the homepage are cruise offers hand-picked by the cruise suppliers as their leading customer deals.
• Each cruise has a details page, which will contain a full brief on the itinerary and ship, as well as all the cabin options.  Rich brochure content showing cabins, itineraries, deck plans and other valuable information regarding the ships, are all available and can be emailed to a friend or the customer by the agent.
• Once the customer has decided on the right option the agents are able to book some cruises via Viewdata or directed to the cruise suppliers reservations department.  For on-line consumers, a very clear call to book message is always available throughout the journey so that they can call specialist departments of choice.
