Comtec to enter North American market with industry veteran Denise Womble at the helm

Comtec Group Ltd is in the process of launching a US office in Alexandria, VA. This is the Welsh based leisure technology company's first move into North America. Industry veteran and travel technology expert Denise Womble will assume the role of General Manger and Senior Vice President for Comtec in the US.

Womble's key focus will be on building relationships with major tour operator, suppliers and retailers in the USA and Canadian markets, and on establishing Comtec as a key travel brand in the marketplace.

Her primary role will be to promote and deliver Comtec’s suite of award winning products

  • Travelink, the leading Activity and Specialists tour operator and Dynamic Packaging solution
  • Travelconnect, an aggregated display or package and Dynamically packaged product components for the retail trade
  • The Comtec Travelgateway, which distributes suppliers content and inventory to the travel trade and Web

  • Managing Director of Customer Support and Inside Sales for Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), where she was credited with the restructuring of the organization's Call Center to increase levels of customer satisfaction and service to travel agencies, corporations and carriers
  • Vice President of Sales and Reservations for Independence Air and Director of Sales and Customer support for US Airways
  • She began her career with Sabre Group/AMR Corporation in various positions, including –
    • Managing Director, agency installations and customer service
    • Managing Director, National account customer service
    • Director, Sabre software and hardware help desk
    • Manager, travel agency accounting help desk and Associate Sales
