Comtec To Unveil Travelconnect Agent Selling System
Leisure travel technology company Comtec will be unveiling its new Travelconnect agent selling system at The Travel Technology Show, Earls Court on 5th & 6th February.
Comtec says the new system will provide travel agents with a highly flexible selling system and will include a range of value-added functions designed to improve user productivity and customer service. These include merged pre-packaged and dynamically packaged availability results, new multimedia content, holiday “favourites” comparison tools, accurate total party pricing and integrated customer profiling.
Travelconnect will be initially implemented with existing customer sites during 2Q08. Comtec plans a full UK-market launch Travelconnect shortly afterwards, with several releases of software incorporating new features planned during the course of the year. Its existing EasySell selling system will remain a supported product although Comtec envisages many of its customers will migrate to its new platform over the coming months.

We’re delighted therefore to be now unveiling Travelconnect as Comtec’s vision of a modern, flexible, travel agency selling system.
Other features of Travelconnect include an e-commerce module, known as Travelconnect Consumer Edition (CE), available as either a complete white-label website or via direct access to Comtec-hosted data and content via Travelconnect’s API.
With customers including Thomas Cook, First Choice and Harvey World Travel, Comtec is traditionally linked with larger travel agents in the UK. It believes however that with its modular configuration Travelconnect will significantly develop its market position with small to medium sized travel agents.
