Paul Durrant becomes International Development Director for Comtec Group North America
9 September 2009. Paul Durrant has been made Comtec Group’s Director of International Development, North America. He will be based in Comtec’s new Toronto office, which it acquired following the deal with Comnet Canada Inc in December 2008. He will be responsible for extending Comtec’s growth throughout Canada and into North America.
Since Comtec acquired Comnet at the end of last year, the travel distribution company has built strong foundations in Canada. It has focused on market distribution using Comtec’s TravelGateway combined with Comtec Canada’s tour content and ensuring the marketplace is aware of the flexibility and extent of Comtec’s tour operator and travel agent product portfolio.
Paul Durrant has worked for Comtec for more than seven years, in various roles from Account Management and Business Development in the UK and US. The team in Canada is now seven strong and growing. Comtec is a new member of Association of Canadian Travel Agents, and will continue to strengthen trade relationships throughout the Canadian travel industry.
