Director of Holiday Express for 13 years and Co-founder & CEO of Comtec for 20 years - Simon significantly grew both businesses with Comtec now being recognised as one of the UK’s leading provider of software solutions to the travel industry.
George has been the Managing Director at Comtec since March 2016.
George joined Comtec in January 2003 having previously worked at Senior Management level for a major UK Travel company and has over 30 years’ experience in the travel industry. George is an experienced Service & Delivery Professional with an extensive background in People Leadership, Operational & Delivery Management and Service Performance Improvement and has been responsible for the implementation of a number of large successful travel projects. George’s greatest strengths are his drive and leadership and he thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach.
Previous to his role as Managing Director, George was Comtec’s Operations Director leading the Service Operations function, including IT Management, Customer Support and Professional Services. He was responsible for driving the customer experience through service quality and providing leadership best practice in customer relationship.
Matt founded Clarius Finance Ltd in 2011. He trained and qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers before undertaking a number of Finance Director roles, successfully growing and exiting a number of medium sized technology businesses.
Matt now specialises in working as a consultant Finance Director to a portfolio of businesses, working especially with fast growing and turnaround businesses, helping them to develop a commercial financial strategy.
Gavin has been the Director of Engineering at Comtec since March 2016.
Gavin has been with Comtec for over 14 years and has a wealth of experience in developing enterprise level travel technology solutions. Gavin is responsible for the development, quality assurance and architecture teams with a key focus on delivering quality software. Having a real passion for software development Gavin is responsible for defining the technical vision for Comtec - identifying technology trends and how these can better benefit business.
Gavin has a proven track record on delivery of robust, complex, scalable and responsive solutions and thrives on these challenges.
Gavin previously worked for Swalec Gas and HTV and has a honours degree in Computer Science from Cardiff University.”
Sean has been Director of Professional Services at Comtec since March 2016.
Sean joined Comtec in March 2010 having previously worked for the MOD and a global professional services company providing strategy, consulting and operational services. Sean is an experienced professional with an extensive background in Transformation Programme & Project Management, Customer & Delivery Management and has been responsible for the implementation of a number of large successful projects. Sean greatest strengths are his ambitious drive to always succeed, thriving on challenges, personality and leadership. One of his key values is an integrated team and open and transparent communication to build both trust and respect for a positive working partnership.
Previous to his role as Director of Professional Services, Sean was Comtec’s Head of Projects leading the way delivering Comtec Project Portfolio across multiple customer and driving the Customer Engagement. He was responsible for driving the Customer experience through positive relationship and engagement and providing best practice.
Ben has been running the Project Office since August 2014.
Ben has been with Comtec for over 9 years with experiencing many areas of the business including finance, projects and the development of both a resource management and project office department.
He is an experienced team leader with many years of experience in program and project management. Ben has a deep knowledge of project governance, scheduling and financial management, stakeholder communication, program and project management. Ben leads the PMO in program and project managing across the large Comtec product set. He interacts across various cross functional teams to plan, scope, manage, and communicate the multiple program and project launches.
Ben previously worked in the financial sector as a management accountant and has an honours degree in Mathematics from Glamorgan University.
Rob has been an Architect at Comtec since January 2011.
Rob joined Comtec is June 2001 as a graduate of Software Engineering previously working as a software developer at a leading Car and Home insurance provider during university. Rob has gained vast experience of the travel industry by leading the technology and teams of Comtec’s integration into third party Tour Operators and suppliers and has been part of a number of large successful projects. Rob thrives on building services of high quality using technology to solve challenges. His strengths are being driven to succeed, his technicality and being able to work across the whole Comtec product set.
Previous to his role as an Architect, Rob was a Development Manager at Comtec leading a team of developers through a number of successful projects.
